The Dracula Story: Narrator: "Transylvania, 1462:" A vampire hunter named Van Helsing returns to his native town after years of training in the art of fighting vampires in faraway lands. His purpose is to rid Transylvania once and for all of Count Dracula, a vampire who has plagued the land with bloodthirsty attacks on innocent people. He arrives just as Dracula is about to attack one particular family. With the help of some townsfolk, Van Helsing is able to save the family. But Dracula himself manages to escape. Van Helsing: "Now you must go to my daughter in Amsterdam in Holland. There she will explain everything." Narrator: Van Helsing’s daughter Lucy has fallen in love with a young man named Jonathan Harker, who was sent by Van Helsing to Transylvania to finalize some business transactions with Count Dracula. They are all related in some way. They discover that Dracula has sworn revenge on everyone who stood against him, including Lucy and Jonathan’s father. It turns out that Dracula had killed their father years ago when he had originally come searching for Dracula. That was the reason why Dracula had always been on the lookout for Van Helsing and his daughter. Harker: "He killed my father, the man I love. I want him dead!" Lucy: "We will not let him kill you." The town is now in a panic as they hope to avoid any more bloodletting from Dracula. Lucy and Jonathan leave Amsterdam and arrive at Dracula’s castle in Transylvania where Jonathan is staying for a while with his aunt and uncle who live there. They all live separately from each other as it is dangerous to be seen holding hands walking through town openly, though what they do privately is nobody's business. eccc085e13
